About Me
I, myself, was once lost and stuck. After talking with a good friend, she suggested I try a Reiki session. I had no idea what Reiki was, but I didn't want to overlook an opportunity that could provide me with the help I was seeking. So I opened my mind and heart and took the first few steps on my spiritual and healing path. Soon after, I met my Reiki Masters and Spiritual Mentors, Janet and James Orzano.
These kind, loving, nurturing people listened to me and helped me understand that I could heal myself. A few months later they trained and attuned me in Reiki I in November 2013 and Reiki II in July 2015. With their guidance and mentoring, I have been sharing the gift of Reiki by developing my own Reiki practice and have had the honor of working with many amazing men, women, children and animals over the past few years. If you would like to learn more about Janet and James and their work please check out their website janetandjamesorzano.com
Currently, my main focus has been working with animals. I am blessed, grateful and honored to be a part of these animals' healing process, in particular retired racehorses, horses rescued from kill pens, a severely abused dog, a terminally ill dog and his grieving dog sister, and dog brother and sister who suffer from anxiety.
In 2014 as a part of my own healing, I started taking horseback riding lessons at Saddle Brook Farm Animal Rescue. I became fast friends with the farm owner, Helen King. She, being a firm believer in energy work, allowed me to Reiki her horses. All of her horses are rescues, some are retired racehorses, some were rescued from kill pens. Helen trusts me to work with the horses to help them release the negative energy from their past to further improve their second chance at life that they have been give at mysaddlebrookfarm.com
I have been fortunate enough over the past few years to have Debra Gallo, owner of Furry People Pet Sitting, care for my rabbit and bird. In 2016 she rescued Timmy, a pitbull ridgeback mix, who had been severely abused and neglected by his previous owners (Timmy's story). After a few months of hard work training Timmy to overcome his fear aggression, Debra and I discussed introducing Timmy to Reiki. Tim and I meet a few times and soon after he trusted me to let me put my hands on him to Reiki him. He quickly became comfortable with me and with receiving Reiki that he would completely relax and roll on his back to absorb all the energy he could. Timmy has made such great progress, he is a less anxious, happy, sweet dog. Debra has been kind enough to refer me to some of her pet sitting clients from her business, furrypeoplepetsitting.com I look forward to working with them and their pets.
I also just completed volunteer orientation and dog handling training at Paws Crossed Animal Rescue and I look forward to being to interact with the dogs and to share the gift of Reiki with them. The Staff at Paws Crossed does an amazing job in giving these adorable dogs and cats a loving, safe home while they wait for their forever homes.
